Med City Nursing Alliance is a grassroots movement started by Med City Rochester RNs who have come together to advocate and support nurses at Mayo Clinic. We have a duty to our patients to ensure they are being taken care of by nurses who are appreciated, compensated, supported, respected, and valued by the hospital they work for. Help us bring a true voice and representation to the Board of Trustees who are making top-down decisions that affect everyone in our community.
Each one of us brings a unique perspective, background, and experience to every patient we care for. They are our “why”. They deserve our best when they are feeling their worst. Help us empower, serve, and unite every nurse who so proudly puts the needs of their patients first.
At MCNA we are dedicated to advocating for Nurses, LPNs and CRNAs.

Our team of Nursing Advocates is comprised of 35 volunteer members that advocate, cooperate, and campaign for nursing rights and wellbeing. Each Division of Nursing has a devoted Nursing Officer whose primary role is convey each units heaviest burdens to the Nursing Advocacy team. There are 140 Nursing Officers that are present each day caring side by side within our hospital units. They see and feel all that is happening during this tremendously difficult time in healthcare.
Med City Nursing Alliance has the opportunity to collectively bargain for each and every one of the 10,757 RNs, CRNAs, and LPNs at Mayo Clinic, Rochester. What is needed from each and every one of them is their acknowledgment and permission for MCNA to do so by signing a “Collective Bargaining Union Authorization Card” which permits MCNA to petition the Nation Labor Relations Board for Unionization.
